Rotten Apples?

Macworld is just around the corner. What will Steve Jobs introduce this time? I've never bought an apple product, I'd always been put off by those retarded one-button mice they used to have. And now I hear that the Apple product I like the most, the iPod, has a product flaw. Apparently the batteries only last 18 months or so. Is that true, Al? The Neistat brothers seem to think so. Love that NWA in the background. It used to be Apple policy to tell people to buy new iPods when their batteries failed, because they didn't have a battery replacement program. Recently, however, Apple has started to offer replacement iPod batteries for $99. But, I think that's way too much maintenance cost for a piece of electronic hardware....

Apparently, there's motherboard problems with iBooks, and some consumers are launching a class action lawsuit against apple. You can read more about this at blackcider.com. Check out the black cider thongs for $7.99.

I'm just full of comments today. My iBook has had no motherboard problems, although I had to replace my hard drive after it started making strange noises.

We've all taken statistic courses. Some things will break sooner than others. We also know that batteries don't have an infinite life. The battery on my iPod still lasts 8 hours straight (down from the original 10 hours) after more than 2 years. I suggest that the Neistat brothers just got an iPod at the front of the standard deviation curve. They just happened to be vocal about it.
