I remember brainstorming with Al for a DJ name. We figured "DJ Al" did not cut it.

We settled on "Turner Brown". Now, do you know what this refers to?

I'm closet-DJing as well. Don't have turn tables yet, but playing with a dual CD deck (Numark CDN-88). Pretty cool, it's got effects built in too. My mixer is a Vestax PCV-150. Love that thing.

So when do we get the first mix.
(shouldn't have said that. Now I'm going to have to make one)

How about, quite simply put: "Bob Glogalina".

My other suggestion would be: "G Cue".

I love those names. Too bad all the DJ's in LA use their real names right now..... how boring.

How 'bout something with the word Buddha in it (given your first name).

I know.... I will take all these into consideration. But hip-hop DJ's in LA right now are just using their full given names, like DJ Al Cannistraro.

Well, in that case.

1. Drop the "DJ" Prefix. Everytime I go to HMV, it pisses me off to see, like, 78 DJ something something.

2. You want to use your name, well, your last name is perfect. Just give it some hip and some hop, like this: "Banner-G". How cool is that!

dude,not to get shitty with ya,but right now you should be in yer room 24-7 trying to get better and better. trust me unless your some kinda prodigy, you dont need a name yet.for now just keep your eyes on the prize and that is, the first time your on stage and your controllin a whole room of people, im telling you,its better than sex. a dj name will come sooner that you think,you dont want some wack name that doesnt mean shit,if your friends(or fans) come up with one its all the more better, because they see you for what you can do and how you make them feel when you play for them. so big ups and good luck!

Hello I am havin a problem with changing me Dj name. I have been using MDMA for about a year and thinking of changing for a while, more recently because there is some other geezer in the area has decided they like that name aswell. It was meant to come across as as the purest ectstasy is music and thats what I deliver. But peoples thuoghts are split by the two ways on what it means. Carl Embley hasn't really got a ring to it. The flyers go out nxt month, any suggestions.

He said the best thing is to be yourself which I think is what am gonna do, Try Dj Sam Herz, I was gonna use me ex-girlfriends name and jus be Carl Cole or you could re-arrange the letters of your name untill some thing sticks. Maybe try your mums maiden name on the end of yours.
