I just watched the series premier of LAX, the new NBC drama starring Blair Underwood and Heather Locklear. Now, I wonder if the fools over at NBC know that although planes are cool, airports are decidedly not. I don't know how interesting they can make this show.

Actually, the first episode wasn't that bad and featured a little bit of everything - lost kid, bomb, cocaine, drunk Serbian pilots, mail order brides from the phillipines, and much more.
Given all that, plus a hijacking here and a plane crash there, how much other shit goes on at an aiport? It will be interesting to see how the writters will try to keep the show fresh. I guess they will try to model it like "ER", where the setting never changes and we're suppossed to get caught up in the lives of the characters. Speaking of which, they already got the ball rolling there - we find out in an elevator conversation that Locklear and Underwood's characters have shagged a while back (and Underwood is married). Forget the Scully-Mulder build up of sexual tension, man. They dun hit it already and we didn't even get to see it!
So let's see how they keep this airport (and LAX is a shitty airport, btw) interesting.
