The surgery was performed by Dr. Gregory Tchejeyan, an elbow and shoulder specialist. He gave me a copy of the operation in mpeg format. I'd put it up, but if one person viewed it on this website, I would surpass my bandwidth limitation. So until I figure out how to show some video, here are some still shots.
You're looking at the shoulder joint essentially upside down. That white stuff is cartlidge - a slippery layer that covers bones at every joint. Cartlidge will not heal itsself because it does not have it's own blood supply. You can see, however, some red streaks in my cartlidge, indicating blood vessel formation, a byproduct of damage. The blood vessels should not be there. The third pic just shows how my joint was inflammed. He cleaned that up a little.
