Sleepy, boring, archconservative Thousand Oaks will be the center of media attention tonight. Ronald Reagan's last trip into the sunset (literally) will come through T-dot south. His procession will come down the 101 freeway from the naval base at port hueneme onto the street outside my office on his way to Simi Valley and his presedential library. They're letting us go home early today because the street we use to get in and out will be closed. Coming into work today around 9, people already had lawn chairs lining the street, which had been lined with police tape. 9am??!! I should be out there selling hotdogs. You would think the pope died and I was in Rome.
