Pigeon John

So - lots of catch up to do.... Ok, let's start with American Thanksgiving. First off, apparently they just call it "Thanksgiving" here. Who knew? And what's with the huge ass turkey dinner less than a month before hey-zeus' B-day? At any rate, I had quite the bomb ass american thanksgiving (hereafter thanksgiving). I was in the San Fernando Valley, a huge suburb of LA, and pornography capital of the world. I was literally 200 ft down the road from Dr. Dre's house. He certainly got straight outa compton, and straight into a gated community in the SFV.

Well, I broke bread with the family of a local LA rapper. I had never sat down and talked with a rapper before. His name is Pigeon John. You probably haven't heard of him, although he does tour heavily and just got back from the t-dot, in fact. He's well known in the hip-hop circles of LA, and he's probably everyone's favourite local MC. He's no ganster or anything. I suggest all you canadianies check him out when he comes to your town next. His live show is fantastic. He's not just a rapper, but a real performer, he keeps the whole audience entertained for the entire set. I was in awe of this real live rap star eating turkey next to me. He turned out to be such a nice guy, very humble and low key. And he put me on the guest list of his show later that night in Santa Monica. I was like, yeah, I'm Pigeon John's guest.
