Wildfires

There are wildfires blazing very close to where I work in Ventura county. The sky is a orange-gray and it's lightly raining white ash here in Thousand Oaks. There is a strong smell of smoke outside and I can even smell it right here in my office. The company is handing out face masks for those who have trouble breathing.

Coming in on the plane last night, we could see the fires burning in the night scattered about the outer rim of the LA basin. At 15,000 ft we could smell the smoke in the plane.

I guess you didn't get a chance to take a photo from the plane? That must've looked pretty amazing. I saw the floods in the Canadian prairies a few years ago from the air, and that was pretty spectacular.
